...and I´ve done another quiz

The quiz below I found at Annas blog feat. Mel E.

What kind of yarn are you?
You are Shetland Wool. You are a traditional sort who can sometimes be a little on the harsh side. Though you look delicate you are tough as nails and prone to intricacies. Despite your acerbic ways you are widely respected and even revered.

Oh, really?!

And the Irish have done it again

U2's überbeautiful song One was voted greatest lyric of all-time in a VH1 poll and I´m soo not surprised. I love that song, if I die tomorrow I want it to be played during my wake! (Yes - I want a wake, I´m born and raised catholic, even though I´ve not taken the sacramentos so I´m probably more pagan and would most def be kicked out of church, but who cares anyway.) And if I don´t die tomorrow I still would like to marry Mr Mullen, the drummer.

Barca! Barca!! Barca!!!

Am very pleased that FC Barcelona won the Milan-FC Barcelona game.
I salute you, catalanos!

Skulls

My fascination for skulls and all things pirate may be caused by Mr Pirate himself: überpirate Francis Drake.

Apparantely he spent time plundring Valparaiso and gave origin to lots of myths. And probably the man also might have origined one or two bastards who might be ancestors to this creature. That would explain a lot, hehe.

From Britannia Biographies:
In 1577, therefore, he undertook, in his famous ship the Pelican or Golden Hind of 100 tons, and with four smaller vessels, the passage to the 'South Seas' by the Straits of Magellan.

In the course of this voyage, in which he was deserted by one ship, lost another in a storm and had to break up the other two as unseaworthy, Drake successfully accomplished the dangerous passage, was driven south as far as latitude 57 degrees, sailed up the Pacific coast of South America, plundered Valparaiso, took the Cacafuego (the richest prize in history) and cruised north as far as San Francisco.

Happy Easter!/Feliz Pascua!/Glad Påsk!

Easter´s never been one of my favourite holidays, besides the fact that you´re off work for about four days, since the holiday is a long weekend here. And besides the Easter egg factor, my brother and I still get Easter Eggs sometimes (spoiled brats!) with nice stuff.

Usually we get together with the rest of the family and have Easter dinner, but this year we are celebrating my fathers 60th cumpleaños all Easter long = fiesta, fiesta y más fiesta!

My father and the king

In a couple of weeks the Swedish king Carl XVI Gustaf turns 60, but this friday - which also happens to be Good Friday - my father turns that age.

Am very proud that Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter found him interesting enough to congratulate and interview. Now he´s in todays paper as well as on the web.
Laughed a bit when I read that he likes to read criminal novels. I believe he told the reporter he was reading "Caipirinha med döden" ("Caipirinha with death"), which is a great, dark story but no criminal novel whatsoever, probably it sounded that way in the reporters ears.

Anyhow, am very, very, proud daughter. And feel quite good about self for making that newspaper congrat possible.

Easily bored or just plain restless...

The result of being such a genetic mix (although, thank the almighty for that, I rather be a genetic cocktail than a genetic repetition anyday) might be the reason for my neverending restlessness.
It´s like I´m almost already bored before I get what I want. I´m more into the hunt itself than the prey, I love to try and figure out how to get from A to B, but when I´m there I couldn´t be bothered. And that goes for every area in my life. And it hasn´t gotten better with age...haha, does anything get better with age but wine and engüindado*?!

Bad thing is it goes for all areas in my life, people, jobs, hobbies, etc. As soon as I´ve been somewhere or done something I want something else. And I feel like choking when hearing "settle down". Somehow it equals prison for me, lack of liberty, etc.
I should probably consider getting some serious help for this....am a freak...now where did I put that Therapy with Tony Soprano book?

*Engüindado = home made cherry liquor, totally delicious and gets you smashed in no time if not careful.

Update: Obviously it´s spelled enguindado. No dots. And obviously I´m not the family language genious as I thought.

Style of the day: The Ghettofabulous

More is always more baby.
Am big admirer of the ghettofab style, the one that goes beyond so called street style that in my opinion can be very boring and not as daring as it wants to be.

And I´m no fan of sneakers, but give me heels and I´m done.

Ghettofab stuff of the day: ghettogold necklace, t-shirt from Walé Adeyemi, hoops.

And I definitely love Trident cinnamon!

Met up for lunch with beloved and fabulous friend the Sparkling Sunshine. Besides enjoying her sparkling and bubblelicious company the girl had birthday pressies for me - and what pressies!

I got packages of the one and only chewing gum that really rocks my world - Trident Cinnamon. Ever since my time in California I´ve been totally hooked and have bought it as often as I could find it over here. She also gave me a prettylicious bracelet, wrapped in the cutest box. I really liked it a lot, but I´m in chewing gum heaven, this is total bliss!!!

There´s nothing, nothing as friends and relatives that really know your taste, as cheesy as it might seem I´m really grateful for this.
